Woodmen Theater was awarded a grant from the Greenwood Education Foundation in November 2023 to help us put our best foot foward. We will use this grant to digitally organize our costume shop and store our costumes in a safe space.

Below is a list of other things we need to make the experience of theater the best it can be.

• Costumes need to be cleaned and when your cast is over 40 people and they have up to 10 items to wear a show, that can get expensive.

• Students need makeup kits that are clean so they don't get infections.

• Actors need comfortable shoes so they can dance throughout our long rehearsal and performance process.

• Students and families would love DVDs of the shows but the cost is somewhat prohibitive to get good quality recordings. 

• We do our best with what we have in the set department but we always have to build and source more materials. The cost of wood has gone up, plus we need lots of paint and props that sometimes we are just forced to purchase used or new.
